Minot is a growing residential community with
a history of agricultural ties. Some say Minot
is a well kept secret. Sense of community is
a high point of Minot 's characteristics. People
are friendly, there are extended families where
several generations participate in community
activities, neighbors are there in times of need,
things get done with volunteers and decision
makers listen to citizens.
The Town is part of
R.S.U. #16 which includes
the Towns of Mechanic Falls and Poland. One school
is located in Minot, the Minot
Consolidated School, which houses
grades K-6. mcs.
